Description
The first photo represents an imbalance of power between the minority (small white tack) and the majority (large blue tack) where a ring demonstrates the inflexibility of the system. In the second photo, a Yin-Yang symbol appears bolted down to an imaginary surface. A pink deadnettle acts as a counterpoint to a stinging nettle which both appear to ‘grow’ from the symbol. In the third picture, ‘this elusive heart’, stones and broken cocktail sticks conform to a heart shape on a black background. The elusiveness of the heart is left open to interpretation. The fourth and final photo presents an arrangement of fragments of a martini bottle. The neck of the bottle is upturned, filled with a liquid (martini?) and supports two olives on a cocktail stick. It toys with the traditional presentation of a ‘dirty martini’ cocktail.
