Description

A woman’s legs are shown alongside the shopping bags that she carries. However, quite unexpectedly, what appears to be a fully-armed assault rifle has ‘dropped out’ of an opening in one of her bags. The humour with which we can amuse ourselves with this scene contrasts with the sense of panic that we might expect in reality.

‘Kebab’ simply shows a common bradawl which appears to have been garnished with two ball bearings and two pebbles. It is uncertain just how these objects were drilled to accommodate the arm of the bradawl.

The third image shows a tin of golden syrup and two wooden spoons which appear to have broken off in trying to force the lid of the tin. The title of this piece ‘Out of the Strong Came Forth Sweetness’ is a biblical reference to Samson but also appears in small case lettering on the front of the tin.

Finally, ‘Self-Propagating System’ pokes fun at the idea that the implements by which we tend our gardens, are themselves products of the natural world. Furthermore, prongs of forks may arguably have similarity of form to roots and shoots.

Prices are per size. Prints are printed in-house. They are posted flat, in A3 and A4 envelopes with cardboard stiffeners. A notice, ‘Do Not Bend’ is clearly visible on each envelope. Prints come unmounted and unframed. Narrow border is minimum 15mm, wide border is minimum 40mm. Handwritten signature of artist on each print. The signature will appear within the border area of the print so as to appear when mounted. Prints are sprayed with Gloss/Matt UV spray for increased longevity against light.
