Description
These are what I might call my ‘mature’ photographs. I have begun to simplify the images leaving interpretation less easy. The dice image comes out of a happy coincidence of the word ‘anger’ being a partial anagram of the word ‘enrage’ and each number on each dice corresponds to a letter in ‘enrage’. For the whisky photo, the string in my mind became a metaphor for the cyclical nature of addiction and where it might inadvertently be ‘tied off’. Camera in Jeopardy was more about the uncertain future of cameras as objects of historical significance. The fourth picture is simply suggestive and has no particular symbolic meaning.
